Cannot reply or send new messages using Remote Web Workplace on Small Business Server 2003
Hi all: I'm really stuck here. We recently upgraded this machine to Vista Business and added Office Professional 2007. I am able to successfully log in to the server remotely via the internet using Remote Web Workplace. The server is running Small Business Server 2003. I can see emails, read them on the preview pane, delete them, move them to different folders.....everything except reply to messages or send new messages. When I click the "reply" or "new message" button, it brings up a new window normally and loads in the correct information in the "To" column, etc. However, in the area where you are supposed to type your new message, it remains blank except for a red X in the corner (like it couldn't load a plug-in or something). To experiment, I went to the Options area and downloaded the latest version of the S/MIME control (email security). After it installed, it actually started working again....for just one instance. With it installed, it loads the window correctly, I type the message, and hit the send button....just to have the entire program crash and the entire Explorer window close without the message going through. So I uninstalled the control program again. Any help you could provide would be terrific. Is it a problem associated with Vista? Or is it a problem associated with the upgrade to Office 2007? Thanks!

You know what- I think our problem may be with Vista. We're both operating on the same system, so it would be very likely that it is Vista (which still has a few bugs on it) is causing the issue. I'll go check out microsoft's website to see if I can find an answer there.

Good luck with that......lol I've even tried calling Microsoft directly and they refused to help, since they said it was techinically a "server" or "Exchange" problem. I tried explaining to them that everything was working fine UNTIL I upgraded to Vista...but they didn't care.

I have exactly the same problem. My XP pro machine works just fine. I am distressed to read that MS will not address this issue. Is this another reason for me to dump Vista and go back to XP? Does anyone have any idea what the problem is ??? .. some weird security issue?
