Cannot rename a mailbox in Exchange System Manager - Windows server 2003 SP1
I have a domain user who'salias and email address are supposed to be the same (1st letter of first name followed by surname) but I recently discovered there's a spelling mistake in her email address. I corrected this in ADU&C on the e-mail addresses tab, how can I make this change propagate to the full mailbox directory name in Exchange System Manager? Currently it is still showing the misspelled name so I assume her email address is still incorrect? Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance.

It's simple. All you need just to export all messages from old mailbox to a pst file. Then deleteold mailbox and create new one for this user. After this operation you have to import pst file to the new mailbox.

I used exmerge and it works pefect for what Alex described. Only gotcha is you have to name the pst file to exactly the same as the user display name when importing it back into that new mailbox you created.
