You need to authenticate when sending email. That means specifically putting credentials in. Usually in the format of domain\username. Whether any other settings will be required is hard to say as you haven't included versions of anything that you are using. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources | In the UK? Hi Is there hardware firewall or security server(ISA…) in your exchange network? All your colleagues meet this error or just your meet it? What is your version of your outlook? 1. You can open the tap where you create your email pop3 account click more setting…->outgoing server(different version different name) ->my outgoing server(smtp)requires authentication ->Use same settings as my incoming mail server-> ok -> next and finish modifying the setting Then you can send your mail again. 2. All your colleagues meet this error. Maybe it is the problem of exchange server. You can modify it according to http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/exchangesvradmin/thread/1789a917-6e4a-4a1a-9291-38ad5abdcf41 3. All your colleagues meet this error.
