Cannot login to account
I have tried via multiple options to login to my microsoft account, specifically to access my notebooks in OneNote.  I continuously get the error message "Sorry, we are having some temporary server issues."  I have searched the web for potential solutions in the forums and someone had suggested I signout of OneDrive before attempting to sign into OneNote.  I now cannot access OneDrive, recieveing the error message "There was a problem connecting to OneDrive, check you internet connection and try again."  My internet connection is fine.  Please help... how can I log in?  I have tried the stand alone OneNote, I'm currently on the personal Office 365 account with the office suite.  Nothing seems to work.

Hi John,

Based on your description, if this issue only appeared in OneNote?

With the error message >>Sorry, we are having some temporary server issues.<<, I suggest you try to reset Internet Explorer.

Go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Reset

About how to reset Internet Explorer please refer to this KB article:

Hope it's helpful.

This issue is not just from OneNote.  When I try to connect to my onedrive account through OneNote, I continue to get "Sorry, we are having some temporary server issues."  This error message occurs if I attempt to connect to my onedrive account through word as well.  As mentioned previously, I also signed out of my onedrive application on my Windows 7 machine and now I cannot re-login.  I recieve the following message when attempting to login to OneDrive: "There was a problem connecting to OneDrive, please check your intenet connection and try again."  I do not have internet explorer installed on my PC.  I use chrome and firefox.  I can login into my accounts without issue through the browser.  I have downloaded and ran the scanner as described above:

Hi John,

Please try this method:

Go to registry editor (regedit.exe), and find:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Internet\WebServiceCache\AllUsers\office15client.microsoft.com

Delete all the subfolders of ...\office15client.microsoft.com.

Important Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.

Please refer to this article about how to back up and restore the registry in Windows:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/322756?wa=wsignin1.0
