Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook cannot access the specified folder location. The operation failed. An object cannot be found
Hi, I have E2007 Sp2 + Outlook 2010. I have the MS exch org admin permission. I have assinged my account full permission for a different mailbox. when i try to access the mailbox from outlook i get the following error "Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook cannot access the specified folder location. The operation failed. An object cannot be found". I waited for 2 hrs but still not able to access the mailbox. I assgined the same permission for a another mailbox on the same database and i'm able to access the maibox without a problem. The permission is applied immediately. I compared the AD account for the first mailbox and second mailbox but i didn't find any differences. I wonder what seems to be the problem.

Hi, Does the issue occur on only certain user or any other user in the same database? To troubleshoot the issue, please perform the following steps. 1. Assign full permission to another mailbox and access the problematic mailbox. Does the error message persists? 2. Export the emails in the problematic mailbox to a PST file and disconnect the PST file, and then access to the mailbox again. Hi, Was this issue resolved by the above steps? I'm having a similar issue but its impacting a number of my users. Their mail box access is fine and there doesn't appear to be anything security wise that would cause this issue. We also know that there is an existing issue with our Domain Admins group and its security access to the mail boxes but it’s not affecting this issue. Just wondering if there is a linked issue? Thanks, Chris.

Same issue here, but this machine is running via VMware.

I am having the same issue. Exchange 2010 SP1, with Outlook 2007 clients. Just this one mailbox having the issue with 2 users so far. I added myself with full permissions and it works fine, tried removing and re-adding the affected users but still does not work.
