Dear all, HTS, CAS and Mailbox,SMTP servers are located on same Exchange 2007 server. I have tried to send an email address using outlook express to a recipient on exchange server. This email can be sent to SMTP server but it is moved to badmail folder and cannot be delivered. If sending via CAS, it can be sent successfully and delivered to recipient. The undelivered message cannot be tracked via message tracker. Cananyone advise what I should check/do in order to fix this issue of sending by using outlook express? Thanks

Hi,You can't install SMTP service in Hub Transport Server.Please uninstall it and test the issue again. Actually, when you try to install Exchange 2007, it will indicate you to uninstall SMTP service first. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996719.aspx After uninstalling it, please also run Exchange best practice analyzer (in the EMC | Toolbox) to have a health check for the Exchange Server. I have tried to uninstall SMTP and install it again but same issue happened.The message still be moved to badmail folder and the email with error message as below :Action: failedStatus: 5.3.5Do you mean I can't install SMTP service on the same server as HTS?If so, can I install SMTP service to another computer with Vista Business OS?Thanks,JJBBA

Hi,I have tried using OWA to send and receive email and it is no problem,but when I tried to send email by using outlook express (it has been set up pointed to SMTP server IP address),the email has been received by SMTP server (it is located same as HTS) and it has been put to badmail folder.That cannot be delivered to recipient.What I am trying to do is send and receive email via outlook express.Currently, email can be received by outlook express but it cannot be sent out due to reason what I have mentioned above.Can you help to provide any hints to fix this issue?Thanks.JJBBA
