Cannot delete a single occurrence from a public folder calendar recurring event
I have a client that cannot delete a single occurrence of a recurring appointment without deleting the entire series in a public folder. This occurs in all the public folder calendars, but not their own mailbox calendars. An individual item can be edited, such as adding notes, or even changing the description, but when it comes to deleting a single item, the entire series gets deleted. They are claiming that this only started occurring since the last monthly updates from Microsoft, but I don’t see any that would be related to this issue. On that same weekend, we installed Win7 SP1 on the workstations. Another thing I noticed was that the ‘owner’ of each of these calendars went from a user’s name to the SID. I re-added the user as the owner and deleted the SID account, but it made no difference.. I’ve checked through the various forums, but cannot find someone with this same issue. I saw this one, which is close, and refers to limited amount of edits, but for us, it occurs even with a newly created appointment. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. The server is Windows SBS 2003 R2 with Exchange Server 2003 SP2. The workstations are Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit with Service Pack 1. They are running Office 2010 64-bit. Hello, Does this issue occur for all the users? How about creating a new recurrence meeting and check if the issue can be reproduced. There are a lot of solution to manage the resource room for Outlook asnd Exchange, you can check the following article: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2006/02/22/420275.aspx Thanks, Simon

Thanks for responding, Simon. Yes, it occurs for all users. The default permissions for these calendars is "Editor". It's easy to reproduce the error as it happens all the time for these public calendars. Right now, I'm thinking that we create a single appointment just copy it. I will read through your URL and see if I can do anything.Aain Ramcharan Technology Alliance Inc.

I read through the URL, but it doesn't work to solve my issue. One other note... Deletion of a single occurrence of the recurring appointment works fine through OWA. Obviously, it's a client issue. Aain Ramcharan Technology Alliance Inc.
