Cannot delete Exchange 2007 Public Folder Database

I am trying to retire one of my 3 public folder servers.  I have moved all the replicas already.  Get-PublicFolderStatistics -server 'servername' returns only 1 folder.

EX:/o=CONTOSO/ou=Exchange Administrative  2847                                   6/8/2015 8:45:44 PM
Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)

When I try to delete it; i get an error that says doesn't exist on the server.

Please post the complete commands you're using and the complete error message you receive.

If the replica won't go away, you can dismount the public folder database, delete the EDB and log files, then mount the database with the -Force switch to generate a new copy.  The replica should no longer show up in the statistics.

Hi Brad,

Thank you for your question.

I agree with Ed that give us complete commands and complete error information.

In addition, we could refer to the following link to delete public folder:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998329(v=exchg.80).aspx

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Thank you for the info.  Prior to Ed's advice; I had already tried dismounting the DB and creating a fresh one.  The replica didn't re-appear.  But another did.  I ended up biting the bullet removing the DB manually in ADSIEdit.  Then, Exchange uninstalled gracefully.  But, thanks for the help guys!

Yes, that will happen, creating a new database can cause some system folders to be created, but those will generally delete without issue.
