I've a problem with Outlook 2013.

I configured an IMAP account and Outlook added something like 2/3 .ost files. Now I tryed to delete the files and it told me to delete first the account. So I did but the .ost files remains and I can't remove them.

If I delete the files from file system Outlook recreates them. How can I remove the *.ost files and the link in Outlook?

Hi y_chen,

1. Have you rebooted the PC.
2. Make sure there is no Outlook.exe running in Task Manager- Processes, after you close Outlook.
3. Goto->Control Panel->Mail.

      Remove any profiles if present.

  4.  Re-create the desktop profile for the user and check.
