Cannot copy text from Word to Outlook. It looks corrupted.

A template sg_techpubs_word_template_1.3.7.dotm created by user, is causing the issue, while he tries to copy data from this file to Outlook 2010, to email some information.

Same activity done from a completely new document is ok- pasting from word to outlook works fine.

Just with this template- even changing the font from the current into another does not resolve the issue.

The word file font is Helvetica.

Once copied data from the word file, pasted in Outlook with destination theme, changing the fonts in Outlook email does not resolve the issue.

Any help will be great!

Thanks

Hi,

Open the .dotm by "Open and Repair" in Word, then try to copy and paste to Outlook, check if the issue persists.

You may also create a new template if Word prompts you to.

Hi Melon,

Thanks for your reply.

I tried opening the file by "Open and Repair" in Word, later tried to save it the same way.

Both times, while trying to paste the contents in Outlook, gives me same error or showing garbage content.

Thanks
