Cannot connect to Exchange Server after installation
Hello, This is a first installation of Exchange Server 2010 on Windows Server 2008 R2. I cannot connect to the Server, because of Kerberos authentification Error, because Winrt cannt process the command. I checked the configuration and it looks OK. Information on forums are not helping. Any help would be appreciated.

I assume by "connect to the Server" you mean with a client. What client are you using? Have you tried OWA to the CAS? Have you installed a CAS? If you haven't, you won't be able to connect to the server, since all client traffic goes through the CAS now. If none of this helps, what is your specific Kerberos error?

I maybe did not express myself correctly. I try to connect on the server itself, either by starting Exchange Server, or if I use PowerShell commands. this is the error I have with PowerShell + CategoryInfo : OpenError: (System.Manageme....Remote + FullyQualifiedErrorId : PSSessionOpenFailed The Exchange Management Troubleshooter successfully completed conne Failed to connect to any Exchange Server in the current site. Maybe that helps.

Is Exchange the only application installed on this system? This points to a possible IIS configuration problem, and if another application has taken port 80 on your server, this can happen.

Maybe you are right, since I installed also - after Exchange - IIS, SQL Server and Sharepoint. I will check that option. Your help is appreciated. Thanks

SharePoint will take port 80 - you can go into its configuration and change it to another port (or another IP address, if you have more than one). Once changed, PowerShell should work fine.

It's not recommended to run those "Server applications" together.. I wouldn't run SQL and Sharepoint on a Exchange server Instead invest in an additional server or use a virtual machine if that's in place already? Hi, Please do not install Exchange Server 2010 together with other “Server applications”. We always recommend to only host Exchange Server roles on one machine. You can follow these documents to troubleshoot the issue cannot “ startup Exchange 2010 Management Tools”: Troubleshooting Exchange 2010 Management Tools startup issues http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2010/02/04/453946.aspx Resolving WinRM errors and Exchange 2010 Management tools startup failures http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2010/12/07/457139.aspx Thanks, EvanPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. If this is a lab system, this isn't as big an issue. However, if you intend to run this in production, Jonas and Evan are correct ... You will need to move these services to other systems.
