Cannot add outlook.com account to Outlook 2010 in Windows 10
I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and the connection to my outlook.com mailbox stopped working. I tried to remove the account, uninstall the Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector and reinstall it, and then add the account. I get a popup window with the message "The network connection was interrupted. Please try again later." The account looks to be added, but when I try to access it Outlook 2010 freezes with "(not responding)" in the title line, and never comes back.

Hi,

Please try the following method and then check if this issue persists:

1. Close all programs.

2. Right click on the Start button of Windows and choose: Command Prompt (Admin).

3. In the command prompt window type:

    sfc /scannow

4. Wait until the process completes.

5. Restart your computer and test it again.
