Cannot add add users/data to exchange2007 storage group using load gen
After installing load gen, we were able to add data to the storage groups once. When we try to add more users later the load gen screen for adding users doesnt get activated. It lists all the users as of now but doesnt allow to add more data/users.Could any one suggest any possible reasons for the same. There are around 3 exchange servers in this domain. There are around 15 storage groups spread across these servers.

Hi Amith R, Could you send the screenshot of the error to my work e-mail v-rocwan@microsoft.com for further analyze. Which version is your Exchange Load Generator, is it 32 bit or 64 bit? Did you install Exchange Load Generator on your Exchange server or client computer? According to the following steps to collect EXBPA log, and send it to me. 1.Logon to Exchange server 2007 via domain admin, 2.Open EMC, navigate to toolbox and open it, 3.Double click Best Practices Analyzer, 4.Select options for a new scan, and click connect to the Active Directory server, enter the identifying lable for this scan, maintain the other setting unchanged, click start scaning, 5.After the scan is completed save the report as a .xml file, please send the file to me for analyze. In addition, you can try the following steps: 1) Did the account that you used in Exchange Load Generator belong to Exchange Organization Administrators? If not, try to use a account which is belong to Exchange Organization Administrators or have equivalent privilege. And then check the effect. 2) Check whether you steps are correct according to the following guide. 1. Launch Exchange Load Generator, 2. Select create a new test configuration, click continue, 3. On specify test settings page, set the length of a simulation day and the total length of simulation, uncheck run the simulation in stress mode option, and input the correct password. 4. Click skip recipient management and continue with user group configuration. 5. On specify test user groups page, click plus sign, click the button under edit, it will prompt a window, expand the container that contains the user you want to add, select the user, click OK, 6. Repeat step 5 for each user which you want to add, click continue two times, 7. Click skip initialization phase and run the simulation immediately. 8. Wait for until the simulation is finished, and check the effect. If anything is unclear, feel free to let me know. Regards Rock Wang Rock Wang MSFT

Hi: I faced the same issue that Amith R face, if follow the instruction Rock Wang suggest, that seems no chance to change the mailboxes count to another exchange servers, right? The procedure seems only change the load gen test behaviour only.... Best Regards, Sunny
