Cannot acces exchange server
OS:Windows server 2003 R1, MS Exchange 2003 & Domain Controller server We cannot connect to exchange server to get email for outlook and it takes time to windows login. From Exchange System Manager, Default IMAP4, POP3, Exchange (HTTP) virtual servers cannot start. Could not start MS Information Store service on Computer - error 1053.

Hi, Do you change any setting to your exchange server before problems? What's the error messages you get when trying to connect to exchange server from outlook client? What's the error messages you get when starting HTTP virtual server? Does exchange service pack 2 install on your server? If not, please first apply the latest service pack for Exchange 2003. Service Pack 2 for Exchange Server 2003 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/bb288486.aspx Try the following steps to troubleshoot this problem: Step 1: Run exbpa(Best Practices Analyzer) for a health check. Looks like many problems there, and exbpa will give you some suggestions. Can you paste more event error for further discussion? Step 2: Try to check the exchange related services ================================= 1. Open services.msc, make sure that the startup type of the following services are "Atomic and the Services status is "Started" Microsoft Exchange System Attendant Microsoft Exchange POP3 Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 2. Try to start MS exchange information store service once again. Step 3: Restart Internet Information Service ======================== 1. Click start->Run, type in iisreset 2. Open EMS and start the Exchange HTTP server. If you are able to start HTTP server, try to access OWA to see if it works.
