Cannot Remove Public Store that associated to the Public Folder Tree
I am using Exchange 2000 in my Organisation. Ihad uninstalled an exchange 2000 server from my Exchange Origanisation last year. However, when I check the public folder properties using ESM, Ifound the uninstalled exchange server's public store is still an associated publicstorefor the public foldertree. But it does not contain the information for the storage Group & server. Could anybodyteach meto remove uninstalled server's entry in the public folder properties? Rdgs. RT.

Hi, Please try to find the public folder store via ADSIedit.exe tool and then delete the entry. 1. Install Windows Support Tools http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/7fd1f478-e072-479c-abfd-9ab4a64f939f1033.mspx?mfr=true 2. Run adsiedit.exe from a command prompt. 3. Navigate to CN=Configurations, CN=Services, CN=Microsoft Exchange, CN=<Org Name>,CN=Administrative Groups, CN=<AG Name>, CN=Servers, CN=<Servername>,CN=Information Store 4. Find the Public folder store there and right click to delete. Hope it helps. Xiu

Hi, We still need to use Adsiedit tool to delete the related settings on public folders. Please navigate to CN=Configuration, DC=domain, DC=com, CN=Services, CN=Microsoft Exchange, CN=[Exchange Organization],CN=Administrative Group, CN=[AGName],CN=Folder Hierarchies, in the right area, please find the public folder. Then right click on it. In the properties of that public folder, please find msExchOwningPFTreeBL, double click on it and try to find the public store that you want to delete there. You can hint it and click Remove to delete it. Hope it helps. Xiu
