Hello I'm using Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003 wSp2. When I send an email to my internal exchange organization I receive the delivery receipt with successful but when i do the same to an external email account e receive the Delivery Status Notification (Relay) but never an confirmation of delivery. I think that probably this is normal because exchange cannot confirm that the mail was delivering only relayed?? is that correct? Best Regards

Have you enable "allow automatic replice" option in ESM\Global setting\Internet message format\default properties advanced tab?
