You should be able to click on the cancel button and Exchange will stop the move. Give Exchange about 10 mins to realise the mailbox is not moving and allow the connection to the mailbox to work again. Are you moving to a different db on the same server or to a different server?

It will be the same as Exchange will have to realise that the move is not moving. Try to create a new db on the same server and move it to the new db. Are there coms issues between the servers? Are they running MB or GB connections? Is AV scanning?
