Hi, This isn't an Exchange issue, it's a Windows one. You do this in control panel | system | advanced. I'd leave a 20MB pagefile on the C drive and create a new larger one on another volume if you have no other option - then reboot the server and the change will take effect, can someone jump in if I am suggesting wrong.Ripu Daman Mina | MCSE 2003 & MCSA Messaging

For the C: drive, set the Initial Size (MB) value to a minimum of 200 MB. (Windows requires between 150 MB and 2 GB of page file space. The amount depends on server load and on the amount of physical RAM that is available for page file space on the boot volume when Windows is configured for a kernel memory dump. Therefore, you may be required to increase the size.) set Maximum Size (MB) to the value of Initial Size. For the D: drive, type the result of one of the following calculations in the Initial Size (MB) box: - If the server has less than 8 GB of RAM, multiply the amount of RAM times 1.5. - If the server has 8 GB of RAM or more, add the amount of RAM plus 10 MB. set Maximum Size (MB) to the value of Initial Size. Then restart the server for the settings to take effect. Reference Further Reading Ibrahim Al Masry http://www.ibra.me/

Thanks for the reply. One more issue with this setup... The size of C: drive is 50GB now only 750MB is free. (It is CAS/HUB server) If I unhide all the folders and files in C:> drive also I am able to see upto 27GB including pagefile(8GB) if I select all and go to properties and see the size (including Windows.Program file, Users folders). If I see the property of C:> drive as a whole I am seeing 48.5GB used!!! I am wondering where the remaining 20GB is hidden,,,,I checked all the folders and file individually there are no other big folder. This is windows 2008 sp2 64bit OS.... Please experts ths is very critical as this is a production CAS/HUB in a clustered environment.

First Make sure ou unchecked: Hide Protected Operating System Files, Then logon with an account that have full permisions on the partition. Because if there's a folder you don't have permissions on, it will count as size of a zero. Ibrahim Al Masry http://www.ibra.me/

One thing to remember is that the C:\Windows\WinSXS folder causes misleading vaules of used/unused diskspace. There isn't much you can do about it but if you are running Windows 2008 (NOT R2) then you can navigate to C:\Windows\System32 and run compcln.exe which removes the backup files for service packs to Windows. Only do this if you are sure that you are not going to uninstall Sp1 or Sp2. Running complcln.exe can free up a few Gigabytes.I.T. Manager International House London
