What are the steps to troubleshoot exchange issues receiving mail? I setup the MX record on my hosting site to point to my static ip on my router and my router is forwarding 25 to my local ip. I can send out fine. Any ideas would help. Thanks. I called the hosting company and they can't see my newly created MX record and told me to check with the registar. I will call tomorrow morning and see if i can't fix it.

i was going to talk about the firewall, then maybe the smtp connectors, but your last sentence is probably the key. dns changes can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate. to make sure the change is done correctly you can test it on dnsstuff.com, but if may take up to 48 hours for all sending servers to "see" it.
