Can not update Distribution List Name in Outlook Distribution List Fields
I have Exchange 2007/Outlook 2007. All windows updates installed. Using distribution lists to fax. I add a contact name with a title - Let's say "The Honorable Harley Snell". Now I go to add to a distribution list and 'The Honorable' is dropped from the name list when addting to the DL and also dropped on the Fax cover sheet if I send the fax. So I go in and edit the "Distribution List Name" field in the "All Fields"->"All Distribution List fields" section of Outlook and add 'The honorable' back in. The attempted update is not saved. So I need to figure out how to get 'The Honorable' back into the mix; as I assume everyone knows, people with Honorable in their name like to see it there. Just for fun, I also tested this process with "Mr." and it also does not get saved. Existing records show the title and the title is carried all the way through the process unless I edit the record then the title is removed.

I appreciate the link to help, but question is still unanswered. I can add, modify and delete the DL without issue, my problem is I can not get their accurate name and title to be in their address on the DL - as in 'Mr. Novak Wu' or 'The Honorable Novak Wu' or 'Novak Wu Sr.'. The only thing I can get is 'Novak Wu'. Same is true for the suffix (ie. Jr. or Sr.). It seems this is one of those fields that is automatically updated by Outlook that the user can not modify. Thinking in another direction, is there a way I can investigate ALL the fields associated with a contact - maybe an ODBC link or from the Exchange Admin console?
