Can not receive messages from Yahoo.com
I have Windows 2003 Server, and Exchange 2003 installed on it which replicates with another Windows 2003 Server running Active Directory. I installed GFI MailEssentilas to stop Spam messages, and it worked correctly, as I can see no spams at all. Services running SMTP, POP3 and IMAP are fine, as I can send/receive mails to and from any trusted domains, but my problem that I am not able to receive from Yahoo accounts at all. Each time I try to send emails from any Yahoo account, I get my message back indicating that the target email address is incorrect and not available in the organization server, yet when I send from Hotmail or any other mail server, I receive the message without any problems. I would appreciate your fast response and concern. Regards M.Samir

Hello, I suppose that you have indicated the domain "yahoo.com" in at leastone of existing Recipient policy" ! Doing so, your Exchange search all recipients for yahoo.com localy in place of searching on Internet. As a first step, you can try to remove (check-off) the option "this organisation is responsible for delivery to this domain", and if it still not works, remove this domain from policies. Bye.

do one thing and tell me the result. can you stop GFI Services and try to deliver the emails to your exchange server directly, just to see if the problem from GFI or not. and see if you can recieve yahoo emails or not. if you can recieve emails directly to your exchange, then you have to check your GFI settings and policies. there is something in the GFI that stops yahoo from delivering the emails internally. also check GFI logs and events and see the connectivity process happens on GFI, you might some hints or information on why yahoo can't deliver the emails to your exchange server. I don't think that Exchange Email Policy has anything to do here with your problem, cause you are saying that you can't recieve emails from Yahoo Accounts, so even if you added yahoo.com email domain into your exchange organization, you suppose get an error when you try to send emails from exchange to any yahoo account, exchange will try to deliver this email locally and will not send it to outside cause your exchange will be on this case responsible for delivering emails to yahoo.com as per your domain policy. please let me know the result when you stop GFI services, do you recieve the emails to your exchange server or not. also note that yahoo.com has recently applied restricted policies on thier email systems to highly secure thier email systems as per the latest security policies and standards.
