Can no longer search Outlook 2013 emails using Start Menu Windows Search??!!!!

....Really? At first I thought I installed it incorrectly, so today I google it only to find that the Einsteins at Microsoft totally and arbitrarily decided to remove this feature from Office 2010.

Wow! Way to ruin my day and weekend!!!

Somebody please post a workaround cause I absolutely need this feature to continue work AND its too late to uninstall this crap - missed my restore point cutoff...

SMH at this madness they call progress...

Yes. The functionality was deprecated so far. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc178954(v=office.15).aspx.

Outlook   Search through Windows Shell

Office and   Windows

Removing the   feature

In Office   2013, Outlook items do not display in Windows Shell searches (for example,   searches from the Start Menu or by using Win+F). Perform Office searches   within Office 2013.

I too am shocked that such a useful search mechanism was removed in the Office 2013 "upgrade".

I went in circles the past weekend  trying to figure out how to reactivate this valuable search tool after I had upgraded to Off 2013  from Office 2010.

Contacted Microsoft online assistance , which transferred me to MS tech support in the Philippines with whom I wasted 4 hours trying to find the solution. They never found the answer.  .... The I found this forum.

Microsoft... Bill Gates....Isn't it obvious now that a deep search engine is a useful tool that should be provided and always improved in this day of data and email tsunamis?
