Can i Hardcode DSaccess in Exchange 2013 server.

Hi All,

I am looking towards hard codeing DsAcess for Exchange 2013 server which should only discover 2 of DC which i would like these Exchange 2013 servers to connect to for any query. Both Exchange servers and DC's are in the same LAN subnet , same Datacenter and the network connectivity is also very good.

Is it possible to do it, or do you sense any issue

Hi ,

As per my understanding we can hard code the exchange servers to make use of the specific domain controllers .Please use the below mentioned command to configure the static domain controllers in exchange.

Set-ExchangeServer -StaticDomainControllers DC FQDN -StaticConfigDomainController DC FQDN StaticGlobalCatalogs GC FQDN

Note : Some times Hard code to single domain controller might lead us to face an issue in exchange if the hard coded domain controller goes down.

Please reply me if you have any issues.

Yes.

However, it is highly not recommended because DSAccess own mechanism is very fault tolerant and efficient. It might be raise unnecessary questions. For your reference: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2619379

Thanks
