Can exchange 2007 do this?
We have an internal request to have our resource mailboxes (usually with the title conference room or projector) calendar information send all of the meeting requests to a calendar item ina public folder with the same name. Now with that being said, Can exchange 2007 do this natively? Something tells me the answer is no. We currently use this company to do this but they do not currently support Exchange 2007. http://www.diditbetter.com/add2exchange.aspx It allows you to sync from a private to public folder. Such as a private resource mailbox up to a Public Folder calendar item. Now I ask myself why wouldn't they just go to that public folder and book it there? Then again I didn't ask for this request. Thanks for the advice on what this can and cannot do. Factual information is greatly appreciated.

Get to the root of the request...why do they want this? Probably so they can open the calendar in outlook and see the full view, more than just free/busy, so why not just gran them readaccess to the resource mailboxes that way they can open them like a public folder? if not, try using a forwarding rule from the resource to the public folder. you could just use a HT rule.

I don't see any rule that allows calendar meeting appointmentsto be moved or forwarded form source to public folder. However I do see a rule that would move a message to a public folder but that does not apply here, since we are talking about resource calendars and their appointments. Please do tell? I also am not sure what HT means? Did anyone ever notice, IT has too many acronyms? It's hard enough doing the job besides memorizing every acronym.

Hub transport. Check out hub transport rules...that will forward any message type: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123927.aspx
