Can an Exchange Server host mail for Child Domains with No reference back to Parent Domain in the Message Internet Header
We have several business units. Each of them has separate domain. These domains belong to one forest. The root forest domain is forest.com. Can a forest.com email server host mail for child domains (elki.com and palki.com) with no reference back to forest.com. I mean in the message internet header (From:) we don't want any references to the forest.com Will the configuration of Exchange to accept email for more than one Authoritative Domain work? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996314(EXCHG.80).aspx# Or will multi-tenancy work better? -Thank you.

Yes, This is supported. You need to configure email address policy for multiple doain to achive this scenario. Also in policy make primary email address the SMTP which you want should be appear in from field. Go thru below article in detail to understand this. Alos you can serch lots of content in technet white paper for this. Configure Exchange 2010 to Accept E-Mail for More Than One Authoritative Domain: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996314.aspx Anil
