Can access email through OWA but having trouble setting it up in Outlook 2013.

Hello,

I am trying to set up my email account in Outlook 2013 which I have installed via Office 365 on a laptop with Windows 8.1.

I can access the email using Outlook Web Access but when I try to set it up in Outlook 2013 a window keeps popping up asking for my username and password. If I continue Outlook eventually sets the account up as a pop type account but I would like an exchange type account so I can access my calendars and appointments, etc.

I have a video on YouTube demonstrating the problem but it is not allowing me to post a link to it.

Do you have any suggestions I could try to get this account set up correctly (as an exchange account) in Outlook 2013?

Thanks

Randy

Is the server properly configured for Outlook Anywhere access? Are autodiscover records configured? If so, autodiscover should set up the account correctly. If the records are not published or you are setting the account up manually, you'll need to use the correct server information - your Exchange admin will have that information.

Hi Randy,

Have you followed the suggestion above? How about the result ?

Yes, I was able to get the server information from the Exchange admin and set up the account manually.

Thanks.
