Can a user retrieve appointments from a year ago?
Our President has decided today that he would like to see his calendar from a year ago. At first glance, it appears that Outlook only retains that information for the current and future months. Ideas beyond, "we should have setup an auto-archive of his calendar"? Thank you, Sean

Exchange doesn't limit the length of time that items remain in a mailbox. OTOH, you (as the admin) can create policies that remove items from folders. The mailbox owner, as well, can archive old items -- in fact, Outlook probably prompts him on a regular basis to do so. If he does, how is hs Outlook client set up to deal with this? Does it move the items to an "archive" PST or does it just remove them from the mailbox? --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

I did do an archive of his Outlook last fall just before we replaced his laptop with a new one. I thought I copied his archive file to his new laptop as we did find it and it did not have any calendar info. I'll look for an additional file, but he has already indicated that it is not a big deal, more of a curiousity than critical info. Thanks for the responses. Sean
