You can use almost any mail client to connect to Exchange over POP3 or IMAP but you will lose a lot of functionality. Outlook Express/Windows Mail are clients that come with a Windows operating system that can connect via POP3 or IMAP.

Take a look at Evolution if you use Linux, for Windows however your a bit stuck, you could use something like Thunderbird connecting via IMAP and then use a plugin to provide calendar/addressbook functionality however this may be a bit awkward to rollout to a large number of users. You could try this unofficial build of Evolution for Windows which may or may not work, however if you run into any problems dont expect too much help from the official Evo developers. Also its worth noting that the last time I checked, Evolution only supported up to Exchange 2003 so if your deploying it in any new environment (or are planning to upgrade any time soon), you may want to do some testing and see if it works or not.

Hi,Maybe you can use OWA, there is a little difference between OWA 2003 and outlook. Less different ,newer version of Exchange server. But you should also buy exchange CAL for OWA user.http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/2007/howtobuy/licensingFAQ.mspxhttp://www.microsoft.com/exchange/2010/en/us/exchange-2007-overview.aspxFrank Wang
