Can I downgrade schema version to install Exchange 2010 SP3 ?

Hello

I was planning to upgrade our client' Exchange 2007 Server to Exchange 2013 and actually ran the following command which upgraded the schema version to 15137 from 14625.

.\setup /PrepareAD /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms

Well, after doing some more research I found that Exchange 2013 has many bugs even if I deploy CU3 (schema version 15281).

So, I'm thinking to go with Exchange 2010 SP3 instead and would need to downgrade schema version now.

Is it possible? Only AD preparation was done. Anyone?

Have you tried uninstalling Exchange 2013? Does it appear in the add/remove programs? I'm not sure if it removes the extensions presuming you used .exe /PrepareSchema.

If it appears in the add/remove programs try uninstalling there.  But I don't know and this is a guess

EDIT- no it doesn't - just tried it on the lab. But here's a guide on how to get rid of the extensions

No, since you ran /PrepareAD, you will not be able to install any Exchange 2010 in your ORG.
Schema version 15137 tells us that you used the Exchange 2013 RTM Media and that build is only supported in a Greenfield environment. Exchange 2013 RTM CU2 is right now the latest build.

Hi,

There is no related document about the Exchange 2013 CU3 announcement. We are expecting the release of the Exchange CU3.

Thanks for your understanding.

Best regards,
Belinda
