Hi, Can I check whether the email has been bounced or not by seeing mailroot folder's files I do not think we can check this by the mailroot folders' files. To check whether the mail is bounced or not, you can use message tracking. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. Thanks Gen Lin-MSFT
