Can Exchange Default Address Lists be removed?
Hello, Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003 has "All Contacts", "All Groups", "All Users", and "Public Folders" default address lists. Can these lists be removed? Just want to make sure there would be no issues after removing them. Thanks.

Why the need? I wouldnt myself. That could bite you later when applying updates/service packs or upgrading to a new Exchange version.

I agree with Andy, don't remove these, it's just a recommendation. There can be issues when upgrading etcJonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

Agree with "Andy" and "Jonas" I belive you must have Exchange 2003/2010 ENV now and you are planing to switch here. Am i right ?. If you have 2007/2010 ENV then you can upgrade all the address list. I removed on one server. So far there dont seem to be any issues. Going to recreate if some updates fail. Wanted to remove them to clean the address book. Most of the time they are not used.
