Can Exchange 2003 be Authoritative for New .me Domain for E-Mail?
I have a customer running Small Business Server 2003 Standard. Their SBS was set up as company.com and users have e-mail addresses
User@company.com. Now they want to be able to receive mail for a new .me domain. I know that Exchange can be authoritative for multiple domains and how to set that up. I need to verify that it will work
for a .me domain.
Also, I need to know if I can configure an existing user so that he only has an e-mail address with the new .me domain (user@company.me) and remove the .com e-mail address that he was previously using.

You can choose to create a new recipient policy or modify the existing recipient policy for this task
For remove the old email address from mailboxes, you can use ADModify tool

James:
Thanks for your reply. I assume that you are saying that there is no problem supporting a ".me" domain on SBS 2003. I am familiar with the process of setting up a new Recipient Policy, I was just not sure whether there might be a problem
supporting some of the newest domains.

It can be done (no issues with the .me address). However if they still own the .com domain, they may wish to retain that as a secondary email address so that previous correspondents and subscriptions/registrations can still find their intended recipient(s).
