Can't set Outlook 2013 autoreply - Exchange 2013

Issue is:

When trying to set automatic replies from Outlook 2013 client, error message is received.

Error message : "Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later"

Exchange Setup:

2x Exchange 2013 servers on 2012 R2 with both running Mailbox and CAS roles. Mailbox roles are in DAG with all mailbox db's active on 1 server and passive on the other. CAS is load balanced by DNS round-robin.

Testing results:

- Can set autoreplies fine via PowerShell

- Can set autoreplies fine via Outlook 2007

- Can set autoreplies fine via Outlook 2013

Looked at hotfix KB2825652 : Reporting not applicable when attempts to install.

Confirmed KB2825652 not installed on any affected systems already.

Anyone got any ideas?

sorry, under testing results correction needed.

"Can set autoreplies fine via Outlook 2013" should read "Can set autoreplies fine via Exchange 2013 OWA"

This usually points to an issue with Autodiscover.  Does Office 2013 have SP1 installed and the latest updates?

Does this occur for all users on Outlook 2013?

Run

Test-OutlookWebServices -Identity {YourEmailAddress} -MailboxCredential (get-credential)

and see if there are any errors reported.

Download the connectivity analyzer from https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/ or run the Outlook Autodiscover tests.

Hi,

Please try the following steps to Test E-mail AutoConfiguration

  1. With Outlook running, expand the Notification Area in the bottom right corner so that the Outlook icon becomes visible.
  2. Hold the CTRL button and right click on the Outlook icon.
  3. Choose: Test E-mail AutoConfiguration
  4. Fill out your email address and password.
  5. Disable the options for Use Guessmart and Secure Guessmart Authentication so that only Use AutoDiscover is enabled.
  6. Press the Test button.

Then post the result for troubleshooting.

Best Regards.
