Can't send e-mails from 2nd Exchange 2013 server when 1st Exchange 2013 server is disabled

Dear all,

Maybe you could help to resolve this issue:

For some reason I can't send e-mails from 2nd Exchange server when 1st is disabled.

At the first look all settings are similar between those two servers, but the problem still exists

Please, help

Thank you in advance

Hello. Verify:
1. Setting connectors to send and receive on both servers.
2. Check the DNS records to match the Exchange server name.
3. Check the FW and the route from the Internet to Exchange servers

Hi Santarem01,

Thank you for your question.

Did you send email by OWA?

Did you receive any NDRs when you send email?

Was the email  which was sent existed in Sent item?

Did email not sent to internal? External? Or all?

If we just cannot send email by OWA, we could check if we could telnet port 20 by the following command on the client:

telnet <FQDN of Exchange server> 25

waiting your reply.

Best Regard,

Jim
