I check the event logs and it says "The Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission Service is currently unable to contact any Hub Transport server in the local Active Directory site. The servers may be too busy to accept new connections at this time"I installed all the Exchange 2007 roles on 1 machine and the AD is on another machine. When I send email, it goes out but nothing comes back to me. Even when I send from another account. This is a new setup.

When you ping the server does it respond? Have you tested your SMTP traffic to the machine? Is the firewall on? What happens when you use OWA?Do you have your Exchange in an AD site with a GC (or two).BP

Hi, I suggest you firstly enable the Microsoft Exchange Transport service is started on the Exchange Server. Please understand that Mail Submission service on the mailbox server role is responsible for obtain the hub transport server role in order to submit the message. For more detailed information, you can refer to following thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrtransport/thread/3759625f-91a8-4fe9-86dc-7251e85cbd55 In case, no hub transport server role can be got by the Mail Submission service. The message cannot be submitted to hub server and therefore cannot be delivered. If the Exchange Transport service has been started but the issue still persists, I suggest you read following article to check whether back pressure issue exists: Back pressure is a system resource monitoring feature of the Microsoft Exchange Transport service that exists on computers that are running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 that have the Hub Transport server role or Edge Transport server role installed. Important system resources, such as available hard disk drive space and available memory, are monitored. If utilization of a system resource exceeds the specified limit, the Exchange server stops accepting new connections and messages.
