Can't export Office Internet Query (.iqy) in office after upgrading to 2013 - Had no issues with 2007
When trying to import a .iqy file into excel we get the message: unable to open http://websitename.aspx?lid=13042&export=true  The hyperlink cannot be followed to the destination.   This happens using IE and Chrome.  I've checked all the security features and none seem to address this.  Spent countless hours on the phone with microsoft with out any luck.

Hi TinaRad,

As far as I know, file operations that use Basic authentication over a non-SSL HTTP connection are disabled by default in Office 2010 and Office 2013 applications. You cannot open Office file types directly from a server that supports only Basic authentication over a non-SSL connection.

To work around this problem, let Office 2013 and Office 2010 applications connect to a web server by using Basic authentication over a non-SSL connection.

I suggest you refer to this KB article to get more information about how to enable Basic authentication over a non-SSL connection:

Important: Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.
Please refer to this article about how to back up and restore the registry in Windows:

Hope it's helpful.
