Can't delete a file!
My wife downloaded this game from yahoo games called Babyluv or something. Well, she didn't uninstall it properly and the file yahoo_babyluv_tm6-2 was left on my desktop. When I try to delete it, I get the error, This action can't be completed because the file is open in a nother program. Close the file and try again. The file is 0bytes, and it has no location because the program has been removed but somehow this shortcut got left behind. I tried booting up in safe mode to just have the basic startup programs running and I still coudn't get rid of it. I searched online for a desktop cleaner but I was unsuccesful. My question: Does anyone know how I can get rid of this file? Whether it be through an application in windows or if you know a site where I can get a good program that will help, that would be awesome.I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit, fully updated. Let me know if you need my DxDiag or a Screen shot of the Icon. Thank you in advance.

This trick as worked for me in the past. 1) Open up task manager 2) Kill the explorer.exe process ( you will lose your taskbar and desktop icons ) 3) From task manager navigate open the file menu and choose 'new' 4) Click on browse 5) Navigate to the location of the file and try to delete it 6) Restart explorer I have not hadto do this in a while but I have had asurprisingly good success rate with it. Best of luck

Sorry about the late reply, for some reason I had trouble accessing my post. Thank you for the idea, however, it seemed to be un-successful in my case. I did however, find a way to MOVE the file. Not sure why or how but, here's what I did.I made another account on my computer with administrative rights. I then logged onto that account, and went into Users, My Other Account, Desktop and for some reason it let me move the file...had I known it was going to let me do that, I would have just tried to delete it....needless to say, I got it off my desktop. After all that, I just logged out and back into my main account.
