Calling lync hangs

I have upgraded to Office 2013 from Office 2010. This includes a lync upgrade from 2010 to 2013. (client)

After the upgrade I can't use the call function in lync.

I have no problem attending or creating a meeting, with chat function, but when i hit the call button it starts the call window and displays "calling lync ...", but nothing happens and after about 5-10 seconds i get a "AppHangB1".

I have unsuccessfully searched the internet for solutions. I have also uninstalled all Office versions and re-installed office 2013 again. Without luck.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?

Does it work when you click the contact and call him through OWA? If it happens for each users?

I doubt there might be something corrupted in your data file. The simple way to fresh a OST file is to create a new Outlook profile and re-setup your Exchange account.
