Calendar requests break sometimes...
Hi All,
Firstly, apologies if this is the wronf exchange forum. I have an issue with a server running Exchange 2007 SP3 (SBS 2008 server) where sometimes an internal user is sent a calendar invite by an external person, and when the email arrives the invite does
not appear as an attachment but as text in the body of the email. It looks like this-
BEGIN:VCALENDAR
PRODID:-//Microsoft Corporation//Outlook 12.0 MIMEDIR//EN VERSION:2.0 METHOD:REQUEST X-MS-OLK-FORCEINSPECTOROPEN:TRUE BEGIN:VEVENT
ATTENDEE;CN="XXX";RSVP=TRUE:mailto:XXXX
CLASS:PUBLIC
etc etc.
The problem is that only one person has these issues internally as far as I can tell, and only every now and then. Is there some sort of transport rule I can use in Exchange to ensure that the ics file attachment isn't interfered with?
Thanks
Mac

Dont think this is problem with Exchange.
Exchange fully support ICS and VCALENDAR.
Have you Exchange AV or antispam software running on Exchange?lasse at humandata dot se, http://anewmessagehasarrived.blogspot.com

Hi,
Also check if there is anti-virus program installed on the client machine.
