Calendar events randomly drops from calendar.
For some reason a user's calendar events drops. The users said he didn't do anything. Anyway I can log or audit just his calendar events to see who does it in the future? Is there any way of recovering it without going back to the tapes?

If you have Exchange 2007 SP2 or later you can enable message access auditing: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee221156(EXCHG.80).aspx In any case, if you have deleted item retention enabled you will be able to recover the item using the Outlook (Tools ->) Recover Deleted Items feature on either the Calendar folder or the Deleted Items folder. Often the culprit is mobile phone sync. Alexei

The culprit can also be manager-delegate relationships with different client platforms (Mac versus PC), software (Entourage vs. Outlook), and versions.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi, You can use the Calendar logging of the Outlook to track the issue. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841615 Thanks AllenAllen Song

I know the user does have a itouch to put there calendar. But I can't really prove that its the case. I tried auditing but it only capture what is happening on the actual machine right and not everything thats going on. In addiition I have to get microsoft to look at it.

You're doing a lot of bumping but you're not going to get much of anything without doing the basic research I have suggested.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."
