CHKDSK on CCR Cluster
Hi, I am running Exchange 2007 in a CCR, and my primary node is reporting in the event viewer that the C: drive has corrupt filesystem and has unusable content and that should run chkdsk. Other than the fact that these type of errors are bad, what else should I be concerned with by running chkdsk on Exchange? I have already failed over to the passive node, but I have never come across any issues in my exchange environment, so I'm very hesitant

Hi, I recommend you not to run Chkdsk. I recommend you to move Exchange to another new hardware first and then troubleshoot the disk related issue. Hi Pres, I agree with Xiu Zhang's recommendation not to run chkdsk but I don't think that it is necessary to recover the whole cluster. Just replace the server with the corrupt filesystem as described in this thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvravailabilityandisasterrecovery/thread/3cc9b88f-0583-4cab-af8f-af00637690d8 Regards, MarkusMCSE:Messaging
