CAS/HT NLB question
I'm having trouble finding a definitive answer on this an want to make sure my understanding of a CAS/HT server configured in NLB is correct. I know 2 HT servers will balence themselves in the same site. I know CAS supports NLB The Question is, If I configure 2 CAS/HT servers in WNLB, will the two HT server still act independantly as if they were two servers not configure in an Array?/R DL

Usually, Hub Transport servers can load balance automatically and you need not do additional configurations. However, there are some specific settings that you should notice. For your reference, please refer to the link below: http://msmvps.com/blogs/clusterhelp/archive/2007/10/05/exchange-server-2007-hub-transport-and-client-access-service-on-the-same-nlb-cluster.aspx Thanks. I think this answers my question for the most part. The testing of the smtp request answering to the VIP is a great idea and I hate that I didn't think of it. Thanks for the answers guys, so I will leave this with the answer to this question I asked "The Question is, If I configure 2 CAS/HT servers in WNLB, will the two HT server still act independantly as if they were two servers not configure in an Array?" Being YES if configured correctly, unless anyone has something to say to the contrary./R DL
