We are attempting to deploy OneDrive for Business desktop sync app to our organisation via SCCM, in-house packaged.

Has been a high success rate, however there are few users of which the sync app fails to install and the log files return errors associated with officeclicktorun.exe see below:

C2R Client returned failing error code 255

As a result it also tries to install MS Office Pro Plus 2013 and screwing up the 2010 office install as a result.  Can anyone advise?

Please check if there are any other Office 2013 components (like a trial version of Office 2013) on those machines. If users have attempted to install Office 2013 on those machines previously, any traces of those previous attempts could be the cause to this failure.

Try to run Microsoft Fix It tool to clean any traces of Office 2013 from those computers, and then try again.

We are also unable to repair/uninstall as a result.

This particular User has only had Lync 2013 installed as with all our other Users and advised there is nothing else to his knowledge that was installed.

I notice there is a reference to Firefly client - not sure what that is?

Not sure what Firefly is, as per the log, it looks like that your client version was low than needed before, then the installation process tried to update it first (as can be seen from above lines).

So you probably need to compare the failing log with the one on the machine which had the installation succeed, and see if they also had that update process, if not, that client update could be the problem.

Also as you stated that you're also unable to repair/uninstall as a result which indicates that the current installation is corrupted.

So I'd suggest you try Microsoft Fix It tool to complete remove all Office 365 traces on the machine and then try again: https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501/en-us
