Ive got this problem too and what's worse, I am a real business, sending emails to real customers. I currentlyhave 22 rejected emails from Hotmail, MSN and Live.com fromthe past 8 weeks. My ISP and MailService is Verio and they informed me that Hotmail,is notorious for blacklisting IP addresses fromhosting services specializing in small business SHARED hosting.Verio is such a service and has as many as 250 small business accounts all sending email from the same server. A common situation occurs whenan email originates from ServerA, gets a busy signal then is re-routed through ServerB or ServerC. Unfortunately for small business,Hotmailinterprets the incoming email as spam because the originating email server name and the actual server IP address do not match.To make things worse, Hotmail adds the senders IP addressto theblacklist.That hurts small business everywhere because Hotmail shares these blacklists with any ISP that will take them. Now I am receiving rejected email from Yahoo and Comcast as well.

Hi,Please check whether the following criteria are met -->Your mail server ip should not be in online blacklist provider database.Please check that the ip has good reputation in the online list providers.Thirdly please check that for yahoo you should try to create Domain keys for your domain. I think that there is some way in hmail server which helps in defining domain keys for the domain..Also please check that correct spf records are checked by hotmail and msn. So create them rightly for your domain.And please also check that the reverse ip entry is created for your ip address and it should point to your mail server...I used to manage shared hosting servers for around 2 years and these guidelines help me a lot in sending mails to these online providers. There is no shortcut in this case as these online providers have very strict polich in place for spammers as well as small hosting providers.Thanks.

Unfortunately, you are probably correct. I have used Verio for over 8 years with no regret and no returned emails until the Public Domains started theis process of "blacklisting". It seems obvious to me that even if I switch to another ISP hosting service, it will only be a matter of time before the same problem recurs. As for now, I warn potential customers that if they are using Hotmail or Yahoo or Comcast as an email provider, there is no guarantee that our business emails will safely arrive in their inbox.

And they assure methat the practice of re-routing email through a bank of available servers is a common practice thatPublic Domains such as Hotmail and Yahoo should understand. As for now, I encourage all of my potential customers to avoid using Hotmail, MSN, Liveor Yahoo as an email address if they want to receive email from my business.
