Bug in the to field of OWA 2010 when using Firefox
I noticed something odd when I was using the Exchange 2010 Web App with Firefox. In the to field of an e-mail message the backspace act odd when you are adding e-mail addresses to a message that contains checked address. The easiest example I can give for this issue is when you are replying to an e-mail. After clicking the reply button you will have a new message that contains address that Exchange knows are valid. If you click in the to field and add a semicolon, a space, and start typing a new name you will not be able to hit the backspace key without adding some extra semicolons and spaces every time the key is pressed. It seems to be the semicolon and space that are causing this issue as not adding the space or even the semicolon will not cause this problem. This error only happens when I’m using Firefox. I tested IE9, Chrome, and Safari and didn’t get this same issue. I checked our local Exchange 2010 servers and I checked an Office 365 account that I have and both exhibited the same behavior. I can't tell if this is an issue with the web browser or with Exchange. The issue here being that Firefox uses the Mozilla engine and the other browsers are all WebKit. Exchange know this is a Mozilla engine and is running differently to work with this browser. Are these changes causing the issue or is Firefox just taking the scripts and not running them correctly?

I was using the latest version of both Firefox 5.0.1 and Exchange 2010 SP1 Rollup 3 at the time of the original message. I have installed Rollup 4 recently on the servers and I can confirm that this is still present.

Which version of firefox are you using? And is this Exchange 2010 SP1? For the full version of OWA, firefox is supported from version 3.0.1 and higher. See here for the complete list of supported browsers: http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/bb899685%28EXCHSRVCS.140%29.aspx
