Bug in Distribution list?
I am running Exchange 2003 STd on Windows 2003 STD edition server.
I created a distribution list earlier. Only specified users can send a e-mail using this DL to all users within the DL.
The problem : Recently I noticed senders expand the DL and send the message to all users. And some users replying to the mail which goes to every1's mailbox. It's annoying.
I sent e-mail to those users who send e-mail to the DL not to expand the DL.
But..Assuming they just send e-mail using DL name , nobody can reply to the DL as rest users are not allowed.
How ever users can manually expand the DL and send e-mail to all users in that DL.
Any solution on this? I dont want users to be able to expand the DL .
Thank you,
Regards,
Amey.

That is a very good question.
Expanding DL's is a feature of Outlook so I don't think that you can do anything about that?
Or maybe you can try to hide it from the addressbook
Or hide group membership
