Brand new Win2003 Server w/ Exchange Server 2003 sloooooower than the old one.
We wanted to add speed and capacity to our Exchange Server 2003, so got much bigger, faster, newer intel-based server. Added to existing domain and exchange server, moved all mailboxes to new server. Now the mail is slower than ever. What trouble-shooting suggestions does anybody have?

If you run loadGen, it better be off hours or you'll really have a slow exchange server.Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:ES, SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Hello Bob,Is it just the Exchange server that's slow? What about ther file servers, etc., do they seem slow too?Consider all of the other components involved in getting mail to and from user mailboxes :1. ISP/WAN available Bandwidth2. As other posts above mentioned, scheduled services running on the Exch server3. SPAM fighting tools, antivirus, etc. tools creating processor overhead4. LAN Network Bandwidth availability and usage from competing PC's/ServersHave you looked at the performance counters?MiguelMiguel Fra / Falcon ITS Computer and Network Service and Support, Miami, Fl
