Both CAS and Hub Transport Roles on same 2 servers using NLB?
Hi guys, I have done some reading and it sounds like this will work, but if anyone has any insight or better ideas let me know. We are deploying Exchange 2007 on Windows Server 2003 and going to migrate from Exchange 2003. We have 4 servers to use so we are wanting to do the foloowing 1 - (2)servers will be mailbox servers with CCR 2 - (2)servers will be both CAS and hub transport servers with NLB between them so that they provide fault tolerance for both roles. 3 - We may set up the MNS quorum and Witness File Share to be on on of these servers(not the load balanced address) or we may put it on a completely seperate server because the only downside I am readding about not having it on hub transport is a administrative security concern. Anyone see any problems running both the CAS and Hub Transport on the same 2 servers and using NLB for everything? or does anyone have any better ideas on a better high availibility design using 4 servers? Thanks, Dan

I understand that the default receive connectors cannot be used by the NLB, so howcan I configure inbound mail from the Internet without deploying Edge transport serverwhen both my edge transport servers are in an NLB cluster ?
