Body of an email sent to a distribution group is blank when received (Exchange 2003)
In regards to Satheshwaran's suggestion, ironically the anti-virus on the Exchange server is not currently running as it has expired. As to anti-virus on the client machines, theoretically I could check this, but this would mean I would have to check it for potentially every member of the group- which isn't really feasible since it contains about 40-50 people. In regards to Frank's response, yes, it only seems to happen when an email is sent exclusively to the QBDG- which I cannot delete unfortunately, as it is an organization group which controls a lot of file security for the organization.

Hi guys, I'm experiencing an issue where the body of emails sent to a Query-Based Distribution Group are blank when opened by the recipient. It seems to be only when sent to that specific group, and it doesn't happen- for some reason- if you CC in another recipient who is not part of the distribution group. It doesn't seem to be to do with the Office 2003 Service Pack as one recipient I looked at had the latest one. It happens in both Outlook and Outlook Web Access so I don't think it's a formatting thing. Could someone advise? Many thanks in advance.

It seems to be only when sent to that specific group, and it doesn't happen- for some reason- if you CC in another recipient who is not part of the distribution group. Hi LMDevlin, Any updates? Do you mean the issue only occurs if you send mail(via Outlook & OWA) to the specific QBDG? How about other users send a mail to the group? If possible, please try to delete the group and recreate it.Frank Wang TechNet Community Support

No Email Scanners I'm afraid. The emails also appear blank in OWA.
