Blocking certain websites for a particular account using 'Group Policy Management?'
Hi,I work as a IT Technician with my boss in a college for disabled young people and I am trying to block a student from using 'Youtube' via 'Group Policy Management' on Exchange Server 2003. I have performed the most common methods of this, including Internet Maintenance - Security Zones/Content Ratings - Content Ratings and I have setup a block on 'Youtube.com' under the 'Approved Sites' tab and for some strange reason, the rule is only affecting the computer that the rule is created on, not the account specified. The security filtering only shows the student in question as well. We have no idea how to tackle the situation and what we are doing wrong.Any help would be appricated. Thanks,Anthony

Why you have created GP on exchange server ? Ideally it should be done on DC. Create the same GP on default domain policy and see if it works.Raj

You dont want to create it on a default domain policy, this will apply to ALL MACHINES in the domain. You should be creating this policy on the PDC of the domain, and then linking it to an OU for testing first. It sounds like you've created a local policy.Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:ES, SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com
